Chester Cathedral
#1 of 23 Sights & Landmarks in Chester
Excellent visit, very interesting I especially recommend the Tower tour, we were fortunate that on the day the views were stunning, even being able to see the cathedral in Liverpool.
you can climb the stairs to leading to a small chapel of prayer and light a candle of remembrance for your loved ones or climb the stairs up to top of the cathedral for a breathtaking view of everywhere.

... gates into the ancient city of Chester ( the Romans called it Deva ) .Standing on the top of bridge ( gate ) gives a womderful view in both directions of the main shopping street which is partly pedestrianised.
It stands on the original site of the Eastgate gateway to the City which has it's own special history which is well worth researching and it's one of the most photographed monuments in the world.

St John the Baptist's Church
#5 of 23 Sights & Landmarks in Chester
It sits on the site of the original cathedral and looks awesome with its faded elegance, beautiful evocative columns that scream ancient history and the wonderful well kept gardens in the beautiful church grounds.
There has been a religious site on this spot since AD 689 ,this present church dates from the 11th century with work continuing untill the 13th century.

Incredible Lego models so worth seeing recreating Chester views of the city including Eastgate Street, Storey House for young and old hidden within Chester Market off the Town Hall Square.
It very realistically features all of Chester's notable landmarks from Roman times to the recent with an excellent representation of The Storyhouse along with contemporary everyday street scenes.
