- Suzanne LOntario, Canada1 244 contributionsWhat a gorgeous waterfall! And those views! I went down the wooden stairs. They were a little scary. Lol My Qualm is with the payment method. I'd rather a different means of payment. Besides that wonderful spot!Written 17 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SusanneFlesherton, Canada9 contributionsToday was "Spring into Moreston". What a wonderful kids' event.
Visited with 3 Ukranian children from Owen Sound. 10, 7 and 3 years old.
Everything was an adventure.
We came ealy and had time to visit the indoor exhibition. Played Donkey Kong. Admired the huge slice of the tree. Talked about the nine grandfathers, pictured in the Totem pole.
Later we fed the alpacas with dandelion. Checked out the old school house. The tractors, cars, and the train.
The crafts, especially the wooden cars, were awesome. A Native lady from cape Croker showed different kinds of animal poop. The bird show was stunning. Thank you for all of that!Written 27 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Shallow pool with outdoor swimming opened to the public during the summers. Walk through the park to find a small waterfall after walking through a board walk (Near Pool Area) On the one side of the park there is a very large playground for children, and mini golf (Not up to date) along with Canoe rentals etc. This park also has a wonderful hiking/walking path that takes you through the forrest along the water of the campgrounds!Written 7 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 599AngelaToronto, Canada528 contributionsThe entrance to the conservation area is not well-marked - I drove past it several times and had to stop to ask for directions. Parking was free but I was there off-season and the trails were still covered with solid ice. It is not an easy trail even if the ice was not there, so not for anyone with any mobility issues. I am not sure I got right to the best view, but I saw enough white water to satisfy my needs.Written 9 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stellan DBromma, Sweden585 contributionsIt is an approximate 700 m walk from hte free parking area. Near the falls it is a bit steep but that is not a long part of the distance. Due to the rocks and tree roots you should wear good shoes.Written 3 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DouglasJSteeleSt. Catharines, Canada95 contributionsWhile the other couple travelling with us had been before, we hadn't, so didn't really know what to expect.
The person at the front desk was friendly and knowledgable. There were 4 separate displays, and we enjoyed them all. Definitely worth the trip!
(Note that I answered No to the question "Is it free to enter this place?" In actual fact, I believe it's entry by donation, but I'd encourage everyone to contribute in order to help the gallery to continue to stage such excellent displays)Written 5 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My expectations were not high to begin with! How wrong I was, they surpassed my expectations ten fold! They were even at the doors Thanking Us for attending, I couldn't praise them enough! The theatre is a decent size for this area, any larger would be a waist! I have another ticket to see another Christmas Show in December, can't wait to go back!Written 30 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - James AWindsor, Canada18 742 contributionsIt’s a nice little attraction for a small town like Owen Sound. Lots of interesting history about the area and friendly staff to share it with you. Right across the street from my buddies place. - Stellan DBromma, Sweden585 contributionsThis is part of the Marine and Train Museam. Nice and helpful staff. So if you coe to the visitor centre do loook inte the musem as well because it is small, good and gives a view about the trains and ships which used to operate around this area. Sadly enough, in the past, many shis were lost in storms and many lives lost.Written 3 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - woodbridge49Hanover, Canada233 contributionsI took an old print which they put on acid free paper, added a couple of mats, helped with the choice, suggested museum quality glass and gave me a discount when I helped them with a restoration project they had on hold. Happy with result.Written 7 February 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
