- Dan KYuma, AZ19 contributionsThe tour was an excellent way to see the island. Our taxi driver loved the island and it showed in how he described the sights. We requested Gumbalimba, some interesting sights to view and take pictures, lunch chocolate and rum. Our driver, Jorden Johnson, took us to a local rum shop with excellent product. They do not export, just supply locally. We went to a seafood restaurant on the water, great local fresh seafood. - tina m4 contributionsThis was the best tour ever ! Lashan the owner communicated with us perfectly as well as her daughter as to who would be our driver and where to meet. It’s a bit overwhelming when you come through the gate to the meeting point - but her crew is right there to guide you! We were assigned Bernie - he was our private driver for the day! Having a private driver is the best way to go, you avoid the 40 person tour bus, and you have your own private tour guide! Bernie was the best! We will be using them again as we have decided to come to just Roaton for a week, thanks to them showing us a whole different experience on the island. - Alexandria E2 contributionsWe booked this as an excursion for our cruise. From the moment Jessica picked us up to when she dropped us back off, it was nothing but amazing. She was kind and welcoming, and even went out of her way to take us to a little souvenir shop before heading back to the ship. The animal park was the highlight of the experience for our kids! The views were incredible and the air conditioned car was a huge perk for my 10 month old. - Carla N1 contributionWe had a wonderful time! Our tour guide Danny was fantastic! We went all over the island and really enjoyed the chocolate and rum factory. Danny went out of his way to make our tour fun ! I would highly recommend this tour. My favorite was getting to hold Flash the sloth and interacting with the monkeys. Also liked the wonderful market with the chocolate and great little local shops. We enjoyed Rocatan and in particularly, the Natural Park Gumbalimba. The park is well looked after and presents beyond monkeyes, guanas and macas Rocatan's history. The insectarium is also amaising. - Departure234831558026 contributionsWe enjoyed the entire experience. Our tour guide Hummer, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and proud of his heritage. We took the "buggy" ride which where I'm from we call them go carts. The are actually Polaris Hammerhead machines. I would say it's probably time to refresh the fleet with new ones however, the crew including "Chicken Legs" were quick with a repair or replacement. Don't wear clothes you don't want muddy. The entire ride is filled with mud holes and FUN!
The highlight is definitely interaction with all the wildlife!

- nicolette cNew York City, NY58 contributionsI was so hesitant to book a none cruise ship excursion but DO IT! This experience was incredible!!! The zip lining was the most fun part! We zip line regularly and this was our best yet! So many zip lines and they taught us tricks! We got to hold a monkey, sloth, and bird and the wildlife experience was so fun! We also did a beach break at a relaxing beach club. Our driver was so nice. Our cruise ship moved up our call time and they were so understanding and were timely. - Global541340574721 contributionThis trip was amazing!! We booked the catamaran for 11 adults, 1 teen—sunset cruise 4 hours. Communication and booking with Danny was seamless (via WhatsApp). He was easygoing and responded to all my questions quickly. He arranged our transportation from our house rental to the port. Gomez and Darbe picked us up and were very kind and knowledgeable about the island.
The boat crew (Captain Kerry, Ronny and Daniel) were awesome and accommodating. They took us to 2 different snorkeling locations. Both had a lot to see—lobsters, many beautiful fish, crabs, conch, etc. Also, got a tour of French Key, tons of interesting sites.
Ronny bartended and had lots of choices for drinks (alcoholic and non), as well as tasty snacks—charcuterie, homemade pico, fresh fruit, chips/snacks. All locals, the crew had a lot of interesting information about the island and were a pleasure to spend time with. Everyone in our group said this was their favorite part of the trip! The tour included beach access through Banarama. We got chairs and umbrellas and could buy lunch and drinks a la carte. Their cocktails were AMAZING: literally some of the best we've had in multiple trips to the Caribbean. We could have also bought snorkeling or other water activities if we wanted. Our driver waited at the resort until we were ready to go and got us straight back to the ship with plenty of time to spare.
