- issaqtravSeattle, WA114 contributionsGetting here was a bit complicated. We tried to save money and take the Citi bus but it dropped us far away. We landed up takin uber for the last 1km or so.
We had not booked tickets so we stood in line (as per the ushers instruction) till we notices self-serve ATM like kiosk which we could use a cc to buy tickets. That saved us a lot of time.
We had no wait and were up in jiffy.
The cable car ride was nice and views were great.Written 8 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kellie FBarnsley, UK16 contributionsA nice and relatively easy hike that leads to some amazing views of cape town. In winter, it was cold, especially given its so windy, so take layers!Written 8 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SarabethBlairSCBlair SC49 contributionsWe were fortunate to have the rains break. We had a lovely day for Table Mountain. Make reservations before you go! We took the funicular up the mountain and walked the vast area... beauty is everywhere! There is a cafe at the top and lots of trails to explore.Written 15 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Historygirl5Weymouth, UK92 contributionsAn awesome experience that hasn’t hit me quite yet. As I was in Capetown, I didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to be at the most South-Western point of Africa. It was windy and busy but ultimately incredible! To see the waves crashing and an option to trek, which I did not take up, and certainly a moment to acknowledge where in the world I was. Thoroughly recommended.Written 30 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Robert ORotterdam, The Netherlands3Â 225 contributionsWalking along Victoria Road from Hout Bay to Camps Bay is well possible. It took me 2 and a half hours combining physical activity with enjoying spectacular views on the Cape shoreline.
It is a 13 km walk, but mind the elevation difference (some 160m). The section between Llandudno and Oude Kraal I found the most attractive. Motorized traffic on the road is annoying and sometimes there are cyclists passing by at high speed, but overall it is a very pleasant experience.Written 11 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Oh and not forgetting the encouragement from all the hikers descending the mountain, beautiful people.Written 14 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Flynn_Africa2 contributionsFor someone who was soooo afraid to do this (and terribly afraid of heights), this was such an amazing experience and the guys made me (and the group) feel very very safe. The views are incredible and even the hike back through India Venster is something amazing. I would recommend this over and over again and would totally do it many more times!Written 15 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RedahCape Town, South Africa43 contributionsIt just had to be done and so I started a plan to get to the highest point in Cape Town. I took a bus to Cape town then afterward connected with a Myciti bus from Adderley street to Kloofnek bus stop. Another connecting ride, which was free on the day, took me to the lower Cable station from Kloofnek. The wait for the Table Mountain cable car was frustrating long and aggravated by the hot weather, but we were all warned. Also bring lots of water and energy drinks. So do come early or later in the afternoon for quicker waiting times. Once I came to the top, via the cable car, the hike began towards Maclear Beacon. We passes the top point of Platterkloof Gorge which is the easiest hike up to the mountain. There are plenty of maps along the route to guide you but please make sure you have an overall idea of the area. Once there, a short route takes you to the edge of the mountain and you can see the whole Cape Peninsula. You just have to see it.
Leaving Maclear Beacon, I hiked back down Skeleton Gorge which was a bit tough on the knees but I made it to Kirstenbosch Garden as my final destination.Written 6 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Although the quarry is extremely deep and I was often concerned about any of the kids going in too deep due to the lack of lifeguards on-site, there is a small section with shallow water for the kids to splash around in and relax on the boardwalk. The kids constantly asked to go into the deeper end with floaties, but we were just not comfortable with that, and will probably never be until lifeguards are employed someday. We did make it up to them though with the best pizza from the on-site restaurant with great views of people cable waterskiing.
It's a teen's dream with volleyball net, waterskiing, wakeboarding, and ziplining. There is a playground and huge sandpit for the little ones but I suggest a shade over this area and other areas of the park for those hot unbearable days. It's a lovely place with big potential if security is upped and more shaded areas added. We'll probably be back sometime in the future.
Be safe out there travelers,

I already reviewed our wine tour, so this review is about our fabulous tour with Albert to Table Mountain, Boulder’s Beach (for the penguins) and a beautiful drive down to the Cape of Good Hope. Albert was an amazing and knowledgeable guide. For our lunch, he recommended a little restaurant, Kalky’s, in a small fishing village in Kalk Bay. It was not much to look at but it had the most delicious fish and chips. In addition to his excellent lunch recommendation, he also provided us with a lot of the history of the area we were traveling through. The tour included all of the Cape Town highlights that we wanted to see and we could not have asked for a better guide. Hayley Burger of Go That Way did an amazing job of planning our 5 days in Cape Town. In addition to the two tours she arranged for us to go to Robben Island and then took us to the Heart of Cape Town Tour (first heart transplant) and the Desmond Tutu Exhibition. We highly recommend Go That Way for all your tours and sightseeing in Cape Town.Written 16 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
