Booked tickets in the UK. Very easy via Trip Advisor. Boarding the ferry was also easy.

Once we reached the island, we entered a bus that took us on a tour of the island. The bus was full and quite cramped. There were both English and French speaking on the same bus, so 2 guides were commentating. Not an issue, but had it been just one language, we may have got round a bit quicker as we had to wait at the various stops for both to finish.

There was a 10 minute break at a very limited cafe but it did sell drinks and a cake.

Depending on what side the bus you were on, depended which landmark you were able to see.

Once the bus tour finished, we were met by an ex political inmate who gave us a tour of the prison itself and a little speech at the end about his experience. This also felt rushed as we didn't have time to look at the exhibition.

We then quickly had to leave for the ferry back.

Good tour, the guides were very knowledgeable and would recommend just because of the history.

However, it was rushed, crowded, saw only half the landmarks and no time to browse the gift shop.

Justin was our tour guide on this amazing walk through the streets and cultures of central Cape Town. Justin was very informative on a broad range of topics and helped us understand the influences that shaped the heart of Cape Town food. Even if we didnt stop and sample the local foods the tour was well worth the price just to hear the stories, legends and political intrigue of Cape Town.... but the food was amazing as well. My only suggestion is to book this tour early in your visit as some of the information will inform the rest of your stay. Justin is fantastic, so if you can snag him as your guide more the better.

The tour was a great way to experience Cape Town in a new light. Buleani not only introduced us to great local food, but also provided us with a fascinating look into the history of his country. He also took our food preferences into account and we got a lot of food during the tour, some of which we took in a doggy bag for later. Overall great experience.

We were lucky to have Sebastian as our tour guide. It was very informative and interesting with him. We learned a lot about history of CT/SA and the life of today in CT/SA. We strongly recommend Sebastian as a tour guide, also because he has a very positive personality.

We did this walk in the Constantia vineyards with Matthew and it was really nice. He does not tell you the dry facts about grapes and winemaking but is telling stories about the people behind. Walk is comfortable with nice views and delicious wine tastings. Absolutely to be recommended to do when in Cape Town!

Ellie (I hope I spell her name right?) from Culinary Tour was amazing I had an incident happened and she went above and beyond. I'm definitely coming back with my husband to book their tours again in the very near future. Thank you very much.

Exceptional trip to the township! We had a guide who loved her neighborhood and who wanted to share her daily life. She introduced us to interesting people, showed symbolic places, it was great!
We felt almost like visiting friends, it was warm, simple, tailored to us. We will come back !

Zee was such an amazing guide!!! She was energetic and SO knowledgeable of all things South Africa. We had a wonderful tour with her learning and eating. We were SO full after the tour we didn’t eat until the next day- so come hungry indeed. Overall if you visit South Africa this is a MUST do tour.

We did a sunrise hike up the India Venster route, and would highly recommend both the route and the tour. Mike, our guide, was excellent, sharing interesting facts and pointing out features on the way up. The route itself is a lot of fun for those who are reasonably fit and adventurous (it's a route where we're definitely glad we took a guide). The views were incredible and it's well worth hiking up - you see the same view as you get from the summit, but without the crowds!

Amazing experience! We went to join the Woodstock street art tour together with our kids. Our guide was a great host and we learned a lot from him about the street art in Woodstock, but also about art overall, the neighborhoods history and culture that I am sure we would haven't had the chance to without him and the tour. Absolutely recommend it, so inspiring on many levels!!! Thank you so much
