It was actually the second time I visited and I enjoyed the tour so much the first time that I returned! We felt so welcome and it was fascinating to see the process of making Tefillin. We had the very special one-off opportunity to see the scrolls being placed into the Tefillin boxes which was a unique and amazing opportunity. My husband and I loved the opportunity to try writing with the quill ourselves and that hands-on activity made the tour extra memorable. Thank you Braun family for the opportunity!Written 22 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jason WJerusalem District, Israel30 contributionsTook the family here on passover. Free admission. Nice building, museum and campus. Fun activity for younger kids. I don't think teenagers would find much to do here.
Worth the visit if you need something quick to do in the Beit Shemesh area.Written 18 April 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A lot was new to me, including how the border police came to be and what exactly their official status is. There is also a really well done movie of the police in the Jerusalem area doing their jobs, which certainly seems to be intended as a recruitment tool, but in any case is enlightening and fun to watch. There are exhibits following a timeline through various rooms, and in many rooms there are buttons on the wall to start a movie with narration. Though there is a button for English, most of the movies still had no English narration, only Hebrew, when I visited (December 2018). The writing in the exhibits is all in Hebrew and English, and with at least one person who understands Hebrew could easily explain the idea of each video to the rest of the group.Written 26 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Adam ShlishiTel Aviv, Israel5 contributionsWe scheduled a private session for two couples while on vacation in Ella Valley Israel. Olya is a talented artist, the workshop was fascinating and the four of us blown glasses and plates, which after two days were sent to our hotel.
