We so enjoyed this popular stroll, the sights enhanced by evening lights, rocks rolling with the impressive surf, musicians and artists hoping for tips, the heart of viejo Vallarta besides lovely cathedral.
El Malecon is a fun stroll along the beach where you can enjoy ocean views, performers, souvenir shopping, local restaurants, street food, art, music and unique picture-moments at statues.

This area is the primary reason most people come to Tlaquepaque so stroll the streets, take in the sites, check out the Arts and Craft shops and enjoy!

For a great hike and a gorgeous 360-degree view of Puerto Vallarta and environs, climb the hill overlooking Centro to the red-and-white transmission tower and large white cross.
Even more steps at the top of the steps but the spectacular views were worth the effort: pretty much all of PV, the bay, back into the canyons and hillsides.

Wonderful place for walking, people watching, ocean views and enjoying the ambience of P.V. Very family friendly with children being allowed to climb up the statues.

It is about 1 hour long and you get to see locker room and multiple views of the stadium.
Guachimontones Teuchitlan
About 90 minutes from Lake Chapala (and about 90 minutes from the town of Tequila) is this unique historic site with an excellent museum and a paved walk up to the circular pyramids and excavations.
The guide led us up a short, windy and slightly steep path where we were able to view the breath-taking scenery of the pyramids, the town and De La Vega lagoon.

There is a nice exhibition recounting the history of Mexico's independence and there are great views of the neighboring Cathedral from the second floor of the inner courtyard.
I highly recommend to get a tour for the murals, to truly extract the meaning and perspective (a different view of the paintings from different physical locations) for the paintings.
