My girlfriend and I had an unforgettable tour with our guide, Gavin, a true Capetonian. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. Since we were the only guests that day, Gavin tailored the tour to our preferences and even added an unscheduled stop at a winery, which was a delightful surprise.

Every stop on the tour was fantastic, from Seal Island to visiting the penguins and exploring the Cape of Good Hope. We had ample time at each location to take photos and enjoy the scenery. Gavin made sure we could observe wildlife, such as ostriches and springboks, in their natural habitat within Table Mountain National Park.

Overall, it was an exceptional experience, and we highly recommend this tour!

My husband and I booked this tour during our trip to Cape Town. We had rainy weather days so unfortunately we’re the only ones booked for the trip. We were given the option to change dates, get a full refund or pay a bit more for a private tour. We chose the private tour since it was our only day there and we had a lovely time with Khanya as our guide. He made the best of the rainy weather improvising as needed and provided great information. This tour while yes more expensive than others you may see on trip advisor includes all the admission fees along the way as well as lunch, snacks and beverages. Definitely worth the price.

We are a married, retired couple from a Midwest city. We took this tour on our third day in Cape Town, before leaving on a cruise the fourth day.

Faziela is a mother of six, the owner of the tour company, and an effervescent, delightful woman. She is very chatty and vivacious, which suited us just fine. We quickly were comfortable with her, and she handled everything smoothly and made everything convenient for us. We were fetched from our hotel and transported safely in a comfortable vehicle, and she had pre-arranged the Robben Island tour tickets for us. Yes, you can take an uber and buy your own tickets, if that's all you want to do. What you get with this experience is safety and security, a guarantee that you will have tickets for an early ferry to Robben Island, and a lovely time with a special local person.

After we returned from the ferry tour, Faziela treated us to a special surprise. I won't spoil it for you, but I will say that one significant benefit of booking with Faziela is that she maintains excellent contacts with folks at establishments throughout the City, and this means you can have experiences you would not otherwise have. We finished our tour with a drive around the City to point out a few special sites, with photo opportunities. In addition to her other wonderful qualities, Faziela is an excellent driver.

All in all, it was like being taken care of by a favorite auntie. We highly recommend booking with Faziela.

Please note we are not reviewing the tour of Robben Island itself. Faziela is not permitted to give a tour of the Island, as it is staffed by its own guides. You may read elsewhere about touring Robben Island and the pros and cons. Faziela arranges for the tickets and transports you to the ferry, then meets you on your return for the balance of the tour.

The Hop On Hop Off bus transport including the Cape Town city pass is by far the best way to tour/see all of the best must visit places/attractions in and around Cape Town. Once you purchase the city pass, you will be provided with a booklet of all of the attractions that you can choose from for the entire day. I think that the city pass is totally worth it!

These guys are a scam, they didn't refund our deposit money even though they said they would (no response after rental, ignoring messages and calls) and they messed us around on the day, only giving us a half day (we paid for full) and a much smaller boat. Don't use these guys!

Best tour ever. We actually did the tour December 2022 but due to other life events taking over I never got round to writing a review. Today I was clearing old emails and this prompted my memory. I saw a few negative reviews which angered me and prompted me to write this very overdue review so @ Faz please accept our sincere apologies. My husband and I booked this after a 3 week cruise from Lisbon to Cape Town. My expectation was to be picked up and dropped off at the ferry terminal and collected after the island tour and dropped off at hotel but what a wonderful unexpected day we had. Faz collected us from our hotel bought us snacks for the island, gave us a quick tour of the V&A area with very helpful dos and don’t advice. On return from the island she took us on a tour of sites including the lesser known sites followed by more local delicacies and coffee. Throughout the tour Faz was funny informative interesting warm considerate and interested. .The day spent with Faz was the highlight of our time in Cape Town and I will be forever grateful for her insight into life in South Africa pre and post Apartheid. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough and if you have the privilege of having Faz as your guide you will have a great day with even greater memories. Best wishes Mary & Gary

We had an extraordinary good city tour with James. He showed us the beauty of Cape Town and broaden our perspectives of Cape Town and South Africa. James was very kind and gave a very good service. We will definitely recommend both milebymile and most definitely James as or guide!!

We did the penguins et al. with Ian 2 years ago and had such a fab time and experience that we had no hesitation jn booking with him again, his time to the Cape Winelands. Ian is not the cheapest around but he is excellent - a local man, intelligent, full of essential information and willing to answer any question both openly and honestly. Additionally, Ian provides an excellent on-board commentary and is fluent in both English and Africaans. A late cancellation on the day meant that we had a private tour which was totally tailored to our agenda. This being said, Ian bases his tariffs on small groups so that he can personalise the experience for all guests to a great degree.
Pre-excursion communication by email was highly effective and we had a prompt pick-up as agreed at 8.30 am at our hotel. We discussed our ideal day with him and off we went to the winelands. As it was early, an early morning alcohol tasting was not considered so we proceeded to De Villiers for chocolate tasting which was fabulous with at least 30 different flavours and types to taste = imposssible not to buy some to take home so we did. De Villiers also brews beer but we declined the pairing although others might wish to do both - all included in the price!
Our first wine tasting was at the Fairview estate in Franschoeck. We preferred all white wine tastings and Ian negotiated this with staff and it was an excellent session with 5 different whites paired with 5 different cheeses - lovely and again included in the price. We told Ian that we liked to view gardens so next we strolled around Babylonstoren - a fine collection of craft shops, dairy, chocolatier, butchers shop and restaurant in addtion to beautifully laid out gardens. This was a lovely segment enjoyed in beautiful sunshine in a lovely setting. We slotted in a 2nd tasting before lunch at La Lude, a lovely boutique winery and restaurant where we again enjoyed an all white wine tasting in beautiful surroundings out in the garden area.
As we had an evening dinner reservation booked we asked for a simple lunch venue and we settled on Tuc Tuc in Franshoeck where we all chose from a bistro type
    menu which we enjoyed outside.
After lunch we proceeded to Stellenbosch, a major university town with many historic buildings. We did a tour of the town in the vehicle before parking up and undertaking the Village Museum tour which included 3 main houses each staffed by "in character" staff who provided historical background and answered any questions. As a history lover I really enjoyed this "how they used to live" segment the cost of which was again included. After re-joining our transport we proceeded to our final wine tasting at the lovely Tokara estate. Three excellent whites were tasted in idyllic, panoramic surroundings overlooking Stellenbosch. We could have stayed here all day but unfortunately it was time to set off back to Cape Town as our day with Ian was drawing to a close. We made our farewells with Ian at 5.30 pm after a brilliant day out. Considering the quality of product and everything which was included (only lunch is at your own expense) the tour provided superb value for money. Ian and African Moon Adventures are recommended without reservation and we will be certainly seeing Ian again when we return to the area,

Based on our excellent experience we also did a short winery tour plus another full day tour to Robben island and Table mountain. Our tour guide/driver was knowledgable, prompt and great at staying in touch to ensure best pick up points. No hesitation in using the company again and recommending the to others.

This tour was absolutely everything I wanted and more! I was picked up by Faz and her driver right in time. Before the Robben island-part she showed me some other places regarding Nelson Mandela like the statue of nelson Mandela’s glasses in sea point. Faz also has a lot of information to share about anything in Cape Town. She is very well organized, I didn’t have to worry about the Robben island tickets, water and snacks. She had that all ready for me. After the Robben Island she took me to some other interesting places in Cape Town like the colored houses and a rooftop bar. She takes a lot of photos to capture the experience which is really nice. There’s also a lot of flexibility in this tour. Faz listens to what you want to see and what you want to know and adjusts the tour to your needs. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone!
