- Leeza16Morristown, NJ57 contributionsDon’t waste your time. We visited Kings Casino last week while in Antigua. We went on a Monday night. It was empty and the workers just stand around talking to one another. They did have a nice selection of slot machines. Very dark and depressing for a casino. I was not offered one drink. My husband played at the Blackjack table and he was able to get a drink. We both lost. One and done. Will not return.Written 4 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Annika HLondon, UK4 contributionsHave just come back from my 2nd visit to Carlisle Bay, Antigua. The main reason for going back was to have tennis lessons with Ken (Kenneth Gonsalves-Barriero). Warmly welcomed and even remembered after 6 years I had morning lessons that in my opinion are the best lessons I have ever had. (I have 4 hours of lessons a week back in UK so have a lot of experience with coaches.) Ken is a genius at spotting what you need to work on and in 2 weeks he vastly improved my weaknesses. Ken is not only a brilliant, talented and experienced coach but also got a wicked sense of humour that made me laugh throughout the 2 weeks. Carlisle Bay is wonderful and the biggest asset is Ken. Can't wait to go back asap for more work on my backhand. A big Thank You Ken and hope to see you soon. - KeepRocksSilver Spring, Maryland232 contributionsWe visited Reservoir Range in December of 2016, while on our honeymoon. My husband is familiar with clay target shooting and although he was excited to shoot, he wasn't expecting a top notch facility. He was pleasantly surprised with our great experience. Recently bought by new owners, a lot of work had been done which is now a family run facility.
If you like to shoot, then I would suggest booking an excursion here. The taxi ride from our resort (Galley Bay), which is close to the cruise port, was about a half hour. Well worth the ride. Once arriving, we were greeted by the owner, who was friendly and helpful. He took us out on the Sporting Clays course and we both shot the course (I am a novice but hit some targets!). Paths led to new stands and shelters and it was quite attractive. My husband enjoyed it so much, that he opted for a second round!
They also have a Paint Ball area and a group of guys had just finished up before we left. It was easy to see they had a great time. Another option is the Air Gun range.
We spent about two hours there which included some relaxation on their large deck. That left plenty of time in the day to continue exploring the island.Written 7 May 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was a great way to see some of city, beaches and take a little history back with us.Written 9 February 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - COLIN BBudapest241 contributionsA spare couple of hours for embarkation in the Harbour area. We found this pub and it did not disappoint. It coincided with a major English \Premier League match between two of the top teams. The place as packed with various supporters and locals were not out done bringing a very vocal noise contribution in a suprisingly good atmosphere. The weather was also warm.
Throughout the noise and semi chaos the barman and his staff worked very hard and with good humour in enabling people to drink and sample amply the wide range of beverages available - even tea and coffee if that was your tipple..The barman even found time to give people the correct change even though a little delayed on occasion.
This turned out to be a lively good humoured and natured event.with a really good positive spirit. The banter was priceless fuelled by drinks that were reasonably priced and attracted rather than frightened you. Would be good to transfer some of this atmosphere back to the UK.Written 21 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
