Driving through the Glencoe National Nature Preserve in Scotland was an awe-inspiring experience that left us utterly captivated by the raw beauty of the Scottish Highlands. As we wound our way through the rugged landscape, we were treated to breathtaking vistas at every turn.

The scenery along the route was nothing short of spectacular, with towering peaks, cascading waterfalls, and dramatic valleys stretching out before us. The Glencoe Valley itself, with its imposing mountains and craggy ridges, evoked a sense of grandeur and majesty that was truly humbling to behold.

One of the highlights of our drive was the abundance of stopping points along the way, each offering panoramic views that seemed straight out of a postcard. From tranquil lochs reflecting the surrounding mountains to expansive vistas of rolling moorland, there was no shortage of stunning photo opportunities.

We found ourselves pulling over time and time again to soak in the scenery and capture the beauty of Glencoe on camera. Well until we ran out of day light.

This was a highlight we still talk about from our Uk & Ireland Trip

Worth the drive all the way to the start of the Loch, a pretty good track all the way and lots of passing places. I took a picnic and enjoyed the views - wish I had taken my swimming costume to be honest (but obviously be careful if you’re not used to cold water swimming). Combine with a coffee at the Kingshouse Hotel (walkers bar) or the chairlift at GlenCoe ski resort and you’ve got a great full day in the Glen Coe area.

My sister and I hiked this out and back in 2 hours, minus the time we spend hanging out in the hidden valley. The trail is mostly all rocks and boulders so you must wear proper hiking shoes. There are definitely steep climbs up rocks and a few times you have to scramble, but I think if you are young and active you can do this hike. We went on a sunny evening after dinner and had no problems with midges or slippery terrain. From either car parks, walk down the hill and start toward the first of the two sisters. The trails goes in between the first two sister, as you're looking at the hills from the car park, left to right. Follow the trail and right away you will come across tall metal steps. That's the way! Enjoy!

We took the easy stroll around the water. Lovely views. It really felt like the pacific northwest. Very well marked and all flat. Plenty of parking. Handicapped accessible.
