I had a 10:30am pick up from my resort, he arrived 15 minutes early with a message on whats app letting me know he'd arrived and will be outside waiting. The best part was when he used his phone app for translate so we could have a conversation back to airport--spanish/english. It just made the ride more interesting learning about him and he asking about me and how my vacation went. Just above and beyond trying to make customer comfortable. - SlyGuy23Ottawa, Canada24Â 218 contributionsJust returned from a week in Punta Cana and used Dominican Plus for a transfer from the airport to my resort in Uvero Alto. I pre-booked online a few days before and quickly received an email confirmation.
On arrival, after clearing immigration, customs and picking up my luggage, I found my driver (Jose) amongst other transfer reps. However, he was easy to find as he held a large sign with my name on it.
He escorted me to the mini van located close by. Van was clean and running with AC already which was appreciated as it was a hot afternoon.
The ride was smooth and took about 45 mins. Jose was professional although his English was limited.
I had pre-booked the transfer and also ordered a couple of beers which cold right out of a cooler.
Of note, the DP website stills mention that DP are located inside Termina A at desk #9, which isn't the case anymore (found Jose outside the Terminal) so the information on the website should be amended as to not confuse guests on arrival.
