Happy Fish was one of the best vacation decisions we've made! We decided to look up snorkeling companies before leaving the US for our Punta Cana vacation as we weren't sure what the hotel would offer in the way of snorkeling companies. We came across several recommendations for Happy Fish from a few "fans of..." websites for hotels in Punta Cana and we are so Happy (lol) we went with them!
The boat was great - we did the semi-private tour. We were on the Happy Fish II, which has a larger capacity than the amount of people we had on the boat that day. The snorkeling guides were great - we went to a place with plenty of fish. They even baited the fish (not with bloody, shark-inviting bait) so you felt like you were in the middle of a little fish ball - it was awesome! We've snorkeled in Belize, off Playa Mujeres in Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Jamaica, and this was comparable, if not better, because the guides really tried to take you to a place that wasn't over crowded and had lots of cute little fishes.
Our crew was wonderful! We had fresh, delicious drinks, and some mamajuana (oh lordt!), along with a nice snack of chips, guacamole, and salsa. There was a slide for the kid (and apparently my husband!) to go down once we were back on the boat. We also stopped at a nice chest-level ocean spot with a floating bar, good music, and time to throw a water football or two while you enjoy a lazy afternoon. I'm pretty sure my sister, is still waiting to figure out how to get in touch with one of our guides, Max (I think that's his name!) - she fell in love that day!!
Overall, I was very happy with the price, the time, the camaraderie, and the experience. Thank you SO much, Happy Fish!! You really are the best! :)
