As of 2019, you get to see lots of fishes (over 50 kinds) that I saw and if you can swim a bit, you will see beautiful corals (always swim in pairs for safety) as you do have to swim out quite a ways at times.
This beach is shared by 2 beautiful resorts, offers great swimming, snorkeling, a nice walk, and beautiful views all around.

For guided snorkelling at the beach, find Miguel the lifeguard near the Club Amigo section – he will take you to the reef and provide amazing photos for a very reasonable price.
Cayo Jutias Minas de Matahambre
#32 of 253 Outdoor Activities in Cuba
Perfect for a day trip from Viñales, Cayo Jutias (named for the opposing-sized tree rat of Cuba) is a lovely clean family friendly beach resort where you can snorkel and enjoy decent food.
2) One day for Cayo Jutias from Viñales should be enough, and worth the 2h trips, as the beach is impressive and quite, yet there are other beautiful beaches around Cuba, with easier access.

We walked about 10 minutes down the beach and found a much emptier and more quiet section, with chairs to rent and a phenomenal and competitively priced restaurant about a 3 minute walk from our beach chairs.
Great beach with bar service by locals, ice cold beer delivered to your deck chair on the beach, amazing grilled lobster from a very small cafe just behind the dunes

#45 of 253 Outdoor Activities in Cuba
The beach itself is long sandy and has calm waters and some shaded areas ,great place to spend a day or afternoon , then the scenic bus trip back to Trinidad, Great relaxing area ,must do !!
If you are taken by the tranquility, the calming sound of the waves, and the tranquility that surrounds you and want to see the sunset be sure to arrange for a taxi to pick you up; after 6pm.
Caleta Buena Playa Giron
#47 of 253 Outdoor Activities in Cuba
... just over 2 hours from Varadero, the Playa Giron is a popular destination for divers, with crystal clear waters full of coral, all kinds of fish in beautiful colors, sponges and a wide variety of sea life.
The area is closed of from the waves, which makes the snorkeling very easy and child-friendly.

Well worth the bumpy ride from Baracoa, this beach is deserted in the morning and early afternoon (except for the vendors off course), untill the first hikers from El Yunque start to arrive.
The reef is a bit of a swim off the shore, but there is some good snorkeling closer in just north of the last restaurant
Playa de las Gaviotas Cayo Santa Maria

Cayo Blanco Matanzas
#58 of 253 Outdoor Activities in Cuba
Once on the catamaran there is an open bar and it is about a one hour cruise to the beautiful island of Cayo Blanco, on the way there you stop and drop anchor and you can go diving with snorkels etc.
Wonderful white sand and only accessible by boat (catamaran), the Cayo Blanco is a "virgin island" paradise!

A beautiful, peaceful beach with a view of the mountains in one direction.
The hotel has sun loungers which you can pay for, but the sand is soft enough to lie on.

Playa Larga Playa Larga
#76 of 253 Outdoor Activities in Cuba
... every day around noon, where the wind also picks up and offers a much needed breeze We ended up staying two nights in Playa Larga, which is ideal for a snorkeling or diving trip and lounging on the beach.
The best ones are SCUBA diving, snorkelling and hiking but from November to January is also recommend to go and watch the flamingos.
#77 of 253 Outdoor Activities in Cuba
Uncrowded, barely developed sweet stretch of beach with excellent swimming, calm turquoise water and plenty of shade.
This is a gorgeous beach with hardly anyone on it--mostly locals and a few in-the-know tourists.

Cayo Jutia Beach Cayo Jutias
#84 of 253 Outdoor Activities in Cuba
Amazing beach, totally recommend, on the map it looks quite close to vinales, but the road is terrible and it takes about 2 hours.
There was a slightly more commercial side should you need the facilities and some reasonably priced food and drinks, but around one corner of the beach it was deserted and like your very own bounty advert!
#88 of 253 Outdoor Activities in Cuba
we liked the trip to playa blanca and to the village, we took a bicycle taxi to the beach and continued to the river,
To get to Playa Blanca you have to walk quite a long way, along the beach and over to the other side of the Rio Miel (Honey River).

Walk up the beach along the road for 20 minutes and you'll come to small inland pools with fish when you can swim.
