- Ladyloulaa236 contributionsWe booked the Lion Cabin & it was worth it. To hear the Lions Roar at 5am made the hair on our arms stand up !!
The food was cooked for us by delightful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. To see all the animals and hear about their stories was one of the highlights of our visit.
Keri looked after us on our tour & was so attentive during our two night stay.
The gift shop and jewellery on offer was amazing & a few purchases were made.Written 5 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You walk around with a guide and he's good at finding monkeys and talking about them. A staff member brought out a bucket of nuts and monkeys erupted from the trees and shrubs! They came from every angle, it was so cool. They surrounded us, but all they wanted was food. We saw seven or eight different species, including the elusive gibbons! It was a fabulous experience. Note: Do apply the bug cream they offer, I didn't and had six bites on my ankles within minutes! Went back, applied and all was good! lolWritten 7 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Natacha1999Warwickshire, UK84 contributionsThis is a must see on the Garden Route. Even without the birds it would be wonderful walking through the 2 hectares of natural forest. It probably takes about an hour to walk through if you don't stop. But you'll definitely want to spend much longer than that - even just to close your eyes and listen to the wonderful soundscape. Our son loved this place at six years of age when we briefly lived nearby. Almost 20 years on he was just as delighted, as were we. Do look down as well as up - there are some very shy but cute blue duikers running around as well as fruit bats hanging from the branches. Well worth the entrance fee but worth buying the dual ticket that gets you into Monkeyland next door.Written 4 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Daisy-haLondon, UK78 contributionsWas lovely to spend time with these amazing animals! They seem well cared for and it was great to learn and understand more about these creatures. I do think it is expensive, but then again, it is expensive to care for elephants!Written 3 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The private nature reserve is a pristine undisturbed area of natural beauty and a real treat to experience. - komandoo2000Denmead, UK57 contributionsWe visited forest nature spa yesterday for the couples experience which included multiple treatments and lunch with bubbly. From the minute we arrived there is a sense of relaxation and tranquility. The building is of Balinese influence and the dining lounge overlooks the beautiful lush grounds.
Our treatments took place in a small building overlooking lily ponds. Our masseuses were so friendly warm and fun and knew when to talk and when we wanted quiet.
The massage was amazing, checking we were comfortable, happy with the pressure etc.
After the treatments we returned to the lounge for a delicious lunch of pasta and tiramisu with bubbly topped up as much as wanted.
After we sat on the sofas in front of the fire relaxing. There was no pressure to leave it really was heaven! We spent about 4.5 hours there and wished we had booked a room to stay overnight.
Some people have mentioned the road leading to the spa, it isn’t tarmac but no pot holes and really good condition so please don’t let this put you off.
I would recommend this spa, it is a truly magical experience.Written 22 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
