We (Leena & Ressi from Finland) visited Ermita de la Pietat and that was ablolutely great experience to see how and where our ancient people lived about 10 000 years ago. We reserved ( one week before) english speaking guide who was top professional and made our 1 1/2 hour visit perfect.

Abrics de l'Ermita are a place in the nature, where you can see a lot of old paints of the prehistory on the rocks. It is located near Ermita de la Pietat, in Ulldecona, a town in the South of Catalonia. We did a guided tour with Leo and he explained us very well the history of the place, the paints and people, who did them. After, we did a little excursion to see the paints: really beautiful and incredible: you can see a lot of people hunt animals. A mix between: a excursion, a master class and a museum. Very interesting.

La Farga de Arion is a zone located in the surroundings of Ulldecana, a town in Terres de l'Ebre Region, in the South of Catalonia. This zone has some millennial olive trees (the oldest one is more than 1700 years old, since 4th Century a.C. during the Roman Empire Period). Really, it is impressive to see these old trees. Some of them has a tree trunk about of 7-8 meters diameter. Also, we came her in a guided visit, which was very interesting. We learned a lot about these trees.

Castell d'Ulldecona is a castle located in Ulldecona, in Montsià Region, in the South of Catalonia. It was built before 11th Century and it was very important in the fight between Catholic and Muslims Empires in the 11th Century, when this zone was a border between empires. We did a guided visit, which was very interesting. We learned a lot and we could go up to the main tower, from where it is possible to see very beautiful views of surroundings. Also, the visit is very well organized and the guide know a lot about this place. Pitifully, it was too warm at morning, and we tired a lot during the visit. In spring better.

We followed car of our guide out of town and visited the olive trees many over 1000 years old. It was fascinating and we thoroughly enjoyed it. One dated is thought to be oldest in world at 1750 years. Mind blowing that Romans planted them and they are protected and still producing olives.
