- CarolineMidrand, South Africa94 contributionsWe recently stayed at Sibani lodge in the area and decided to stop over at Saddle creek adventures on our way home, and wow this was an excellent decision.
There are so many activities to choose from and we elected to try our hand at archery, horse riding, go carting and quad biking, and had the best time experiencing some new activities with the boys, to add to our already wonderful weekend away.
The guides are so helpful and on the ball which really adds to the experience too. There’s a beautiful forrest area that you move through when doing the horse riding and quad biking so it’s scenic too, and the day we were there it had been raining so there was loads of mud which made it even more fun.
It really was one of the best days spent with out boys.Written 14 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ruanhJohannesburg, South Africa38 contributionsWe did the 2 day cooking experience with Mike and Cilla. What an amazing experience with wonderful hosts.
We walked through the fields asking questions and tasting herbs with Mike explaining how everything works. I cant believe the difference in tastes between farm grown and supermarkets.
Afterwards we went off to the kitchen where we learned to make dishes like the semifreddo, fried zuccini flowers and fresh country bread.
Our favourite lesson was a foolproof way to poach an egg! It works!
The evening we spent listening intently to their wonderful life stories and enjoying the fruits of our labours.
Overall a fantastic experience.Written 22 December 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is great fun, no matter your age, even our son of 12 yrs of age manage to shoot like a pro, thanks to Alf’s guidance. Afterward enjoy a cold beer at the quirky pub.
