What travellers are saying
- Rebecca Matladi LetsweleMbombela, South Africa1 contributionLangebaan is a beautiful place, its Greece in SA. I truly loved the scenery although it was extremely cold because of the cold front. We had a great time though. We went to the West Coast National Park where you get to see the beautiful coast, lovely beach. I think as for me I must go back there in Summer. However there were not much activities since it was during the week, so we went quad biking at Atlantis Dunes, Cape Town water front 1 hour cruise and also spent a day at the Victoria Mall shopping. Langebaan is so beautiful if you are a nature lover.Written 3 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rick WSevenoaks, UK2 341 contributionsI took a 90 minute bike tour of the park with WOW-E bikes from Paternoster. It was a fun experience riding bikes that took all the hard work out of cycling and I had two excellent guides who pointed out many features of this deserted and quite barren area. We saw a whale carcass on the rocks too...a bit sad.Written 26 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rick WSevenoaks, UK2 341 contributionsPaternoster beach is a large broad curve of sand and it is beautiful. But the water (in February) was SO COLD! I don't mind cold water swimming but even I could not stay in for more than a few minutes. It must have been about 7 degrees Celsius! Don't let that stop you jogging, strolling and enjoying the beach. But think twice before you take a plunge!Written 18 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rick WSevenoaks, UK2 341 contributionsThe West Coast Fossil Park was substantially upgraded and improved in 2018 and made a fascinating visit of about two hours. The place now has a small museum and a great coffee/lunch place. Each day there are three guided tours (About 40 minutes) and this gave us good explanations of what we were seeing. When you get to the fossil area you see a mass of bones from animals that lived 8 million years ago and in many cases are now extinct. The includes the African lion and the Sivatherium (a short necked giraffe). There are models of the Sivatherium in the museum too. We found the place fascinating and enjoyed our visit very much!Written 26 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WindsorNinjaWindsor, UK4 contributionsWhat a fantastic way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Three couples so six of us and we all had the Tasting Menu of six beers which were all varied but all excellent and crazy value. After that we rolled up our sleeves and got stuck into whichever beer was our favourite - the stout was a particular favourite amongst us! The three brewers behind the bar were great fun and happy to share their knowledge of how the beers were brewed. We all left there a little wobbly with T-shirts having had a great afternoon and early evening. Thanks so much Black Eagle we will be back!!!Written 16 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rick WSevenoaks, UK2 341 contributionsThis whole stretch of beach is lovely and benefits from warmer water where you can actually swim without freezing to death in the cold Atlantic. There are various beaches scattered along the lagoon with small beach bars and restaurants to enjoy. Also lots of free parking. The sand is soft and the beaches delightful and uncrowded.Written 19 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - marsuvnOtjiwarongo, Namibia26 contributionsWhat a lovely day. Because of too much wind on the beach, we decided to head for the park and we really enjoyed it.
The bathrooms were a bit of a mess, but there were 3 school groups at the park for their end of year function, so I think this is why.
Everything is reasonably priced. Food looked delicious. Pools were clean and staff friendly enough.Written 3 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I have not experienced 'freedom' like I did here in too many decades. The sun, the beach, the hiking (safely), relaxed living. I did not want to leave this small town....Written 1 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Yellowribbon2014Johannesburg, South Africa61 contributionsIt was lovely having something to do in the evenings at the resort. A nice clean smallish casino. I played in both the smoking and non smoking sections. Nice crowd of people. - Taylor. AliCape Town, South Africa230 contributionsLovely lighthouse but was not open to viewing which was a disappointment. Well kept and position on a great beach. Nice to visit, parking available as its within a private housing estate. Spent no more then 30 minutes here mainly due to walking on the beach.Written 12 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stanley466Cape Town Central, South Africa849 contributionsIt's a quality mall if you on holiday and conveient if you want to buy everything you need in one place. The large chain retail stores are all here, plus a few specialist stores too. Very much in line with what you would find at a small mall in the city.Written 21 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
