I went with my special needs client who is high anxiety and disruptive at times. She was struggling when we arrived and the staff were super understanding kind and helpful. Dustin and Sophie went above and beyond to help her and me too to deescalate the situation. In the end she said to me "why do the animals calm me down". It was very endearing and I'm grateful they were so understanding because she was causing a scene lol.
The animals were so cute especially the horses that Dustin had talking and giving us back rubs.
    Thank you for this experience.

This 8 km round trip hike to the rapids is not wheelchair accessible. The first 3 km are good for an average hiker but the last 1 km becomes rocky, lots of free stumps to navigate. If you go when it's raining it does becomes slippery. Hiking boots are a must. Google indicates 1 hr hike in, however that is at a moderate pace. If you want a leisurely walk, schedule yourself 1hr and 20 minutes. Wildlife is in the area so bring bear spray.
It's too bad you can't park at the park entrance if you have little ones as it would cut the hike by at least 1 km.

We stopped here on a trip on the Sunshine Coast. The parking was fine and the walks are fairly short and relatively easy; a little scrambling over some rocks and tree roots might be required to access the shore at some places. Great views and pretty quiet

Fun spot. Lots of trees right along the water so if it’s a hot day you can sit in the shade. Nice sand and also rocks along sections of the beach. Great access to water and has. A playground as well. Beautiful place and a must visit for families.

Such a lovely park! Beautiful scenery and the trails was great, along the ocean and quite rocky. Not a trail that is good for small children. Great views and nice and quiet.

I walk through Soames Park at least once or twice a week, in all seasons. Lovely spot to relax and (if you're into it) forest bathe. I only hike to the summit of the hill once or twice a year, usually to show guests/visitors the view. Fantastic. Highly recommend it for a short, relaxing, diversion.

The cruise into this magnificent, tiny fjord is almost beyond description! It is renowned by Pacific Northwest boaters as the Crown Jewel of northwest boating. The entrance is guarded by the dogleg Malibu Rapids, and it is the wise boater who looks at the tide charts and goes through at slack water. Inside, once through the rapids, with the famous Young Life camp, Malibu alongside, the vistas open up to a four mile long inlet, only about 2/3 of a mile wide at its wides, surrounded by a ring of mountains and in the spring at least, hundreds of waterfalls, looking like twisted white yarn, spinning down hundreds and thousands of feet. About 3/4 of the way to the end and Chatterbox Falls, is a small island, owned by the Princess Louisa Society, a non-profit group of primarily boaters, who have donated their time and money to preserve this national treasure from commercial interests. And, at the end of this magnificent, pristine inlet, is a small campground, a long dock for boaters (in season, anyway, several buoys, and the famous wide, high, Chatterbox Falls, thundering down into the inlet from on high. Our favorite position on the dock was being at the end, closest to the falls, with our stern facing it, and listening to the waterfall music, especially soothing at night. The docks are supplied and maintained, again, at the courtesy of the Princess Louisa Society, in cooperation with BC Parks.

We have visited this incredibly beautiful, unique place three times in our own boats, and at least three more times in commercial, very small cruise ships, and it never fails to enchant us. The famous novelist, Earle Stanley Gardner, after having seen it, called it the most beautiful place in the world -- and indeed, many years ago, the readers of Travel & Leisure, in the annual "Top Ten" travel places and experiences, included it in the category of "World's Top Ten Most Beautiful Places" While there, we came across a young man camping at the campground. He lived in Australia, and had read about Princess Louisa in a travel magazine. He was so moved by the photos and descriptions ,it became a quest for him. He flew to Vancouver, B.C. bought a kayak with camping supplies, and paddled all the way up the coast to be able to experience this for himself. He told us it was the greatest, most moving experience of his young life.

And we agree -- but, you have to see it, and experience it, for yourself, and if you do, you will be moved, and touched, by this example of natures' untainted, overwhelming beauty.

We started our journey in Powell River and rented kayaks from Powell River Kayaks.
Paddled through Malispina Inlet and decided to make Feather Cove our base camp spot for 3 nights.
The camp spots are set up on platforms and each one had its own charm depending if you want a woodsy vibe or a water view.

Most people just stayed one night and then went on to the more popular Copeland Islands, but we enjoyed staying put and exploring the islands while marking Feather Cove our base.

The Sunshine Coast trail passes through the upper part so we had European hikers that stopped in for a night of camping as well.

The tide comes up quite high so we staged our kayak on logs for the evening and took it down the rocky beach in the morning.

Stunning spot and we would go back again!

So much to see and do! Was a great 4 days camping! The amount of frogs on the lake is amazing and trails are an awesome ride! I only regret I didn’t bring my paddle board because I thought it would be too cold, it wasn’t!

Really nice spot!! Away from noise and traffic, a lot of grass and different seats and tables. You can even go have a look at the chickens, that is very distracting.
A lot of choice in beers AND even a few ciders. Just love this place!!
