We had a very pleasant stay at Nambiti House at Cheetah Ridge where we received a friendly welcome from Clinton who always greeted us with a broad smile.. The game drives were the highlight of our stay with amazing sightings thanks to Brent our excellent game guide. We would highly recommend Nambiti for a wonderful game viewing experience.

We went on a very misty morning, but it was still a nice experience. The directions on google maps is a bit confusing but we got there eventually. Would love to see it again on a sunny day.

Admission was very inexpensive. It only cost R7 apiece as seniors (about 35¢). It was a nice telling of the history of the siege of Ladysmith. There was lots of photos and verbiage but there were also displays of uniforms, cannon ammunition, lots and lots of things. You could spend hours if you took the time to read everything.

Like many other travellers i saw the memorial on my way into the Nambiti game reserve and decided to take a look on the way out. I'd recommend taking a little time to visiting both the British memorial near the northern entrance to Nambiti and the Boar memorial before cross over the railway line on the way out.

Both are very well kept and worth taking in for short time, I also ordered a small book on the battle to arrive back home whilst i was away, to learn more on the battle.
