The most complete place to learn about sugar in La Réunion! In a converted factory, everything from history, culture, transformation or sociology of sugar. Only the audio guide system is bit complicated otherwise very enjoyable.

Stella Matutina is a fantastic museum with loads of information on the history of Reunion and sugar production. Make sure to bring enough time to browse the exhibitions and see the 4d movie in the cinema. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely family excursion here. The whale exhibition was interactive and great for our toddler. He also enjoyed the factory museum - especially the vehicles and watching the cranes/tractors outside. The audioguide was a bit unreliable and kept restarting or missing out sections.

An amazing array of history regarding not only the sugar cane industry but also the lives of those who worked for the sugar companies. Brilliant for all the information and being able to select the language of your guide.

This is a definite must do place in Reunion. The history of Reunion is very well explained and the museum caters really well for English speaking people. The staff are very friendly and helpful!!

We did not know what to expect, but this museum was well worth the discovery. It is an old sugar cane processing factory. The museum has been recently renovated and the displays (audio and video) are stunning. We even had fun with a 4-D show...More

Very modern museum with superb fittings. Interactive screens covering ancient and modern history and the mascarene islands place during this time. Nice choice of souvenirs and liquors. Lacking English translations in the temporary exhibition which was thus very disappointing.
