The tasting room is inside this gorgeous, historic Cape Colony building where you have to walk through the shining wine tanks to arrive at a smiling young woman who will guide you through the range... the whole range if you dare. I absolutely loved standing and chatting to our wine hostess. It was a wonderful experience for my Italian family member to enjoy and taste the beautiful wines Groote Post is producing. I will definitely be returning! but next time I'll bring the 4x4 rather than my run-around.…

What a hidden gem in Darling. We were at the beer house and moved onto the wine The tasting was wonderful and the waiters serving us was great and knew all about the wine.

Groote Post restaurant and winery are situated off the beaten track outside Darling, western cape. A perfect spot for wine tasting outdoors, fantastic food, either indoors or outdoors or a picnic - children’s play area which can be seen from tables and shaded outdoor eating. Food was fantastic.
