Off-Road Motorbike Day Tour to Darling

1 review
Discover the charm of the old railway service road to Darling with a small dual-sport motorbike, starting from and returning to Bellville (Cape Town), during a full day guided tour.
After a short warm-up ride (30') on country roads, you will meet the first gravel road, where some skill and safety exercises are planned. Leaving the gravel, you will then ride the trail along the old railway, with a short challenging escapade into the surrounding hills, all the way to the picturesque little town of Darling.
On the way back, and although the railway road remains the guiding thread, several variations will allow you to experience some sand riding and navigate through the "fynbos" fields of the Rivelands reserve.

This 180km tour is absolutely suitable for off-road beginners.
The journey offers a unique and unforgettable way to get to Darling and back, and is at the same time a fantastic opportunity to discover the joy of riding in a challenging environment.

GPS battled to find it the first time round, but a well-kitted spot once we found it. Play area for the kids and an appealing menu. Just had drinks and did the tasting. Book in peak season!

We took a trip out to see the flower show on the West Coast and stopped by Darling Brew for lunch. The restaurant is split into 2 sections and has an outdoor area where you can bring your own picnic blanket and enjoy the lawns too. The food offering had an assortment of some light snacks, burgers and some bigger dishes for those with a roaring appetite. The thing I loved most about the brewery was the staff behind the bar. They were very knowledgeable and had a sense of pride and listened to what type of beer you liked so they could recommend the perfect drink. I do recommend booking in advance when visiting on the weekend as it gets really busy with families and travellers passing by.

Terrible service!! Service was non existent we waited to be served and eventually left without beer or food. All the staff were to busy to assist us. We drove all the way from Stellenbosch wanting to do some beer tasting but what a disappointment.

Mayb its because of the festival, but I felt it was overpriced and food bland.I should give it another go on a normal day, bt its something to do while in Darling if you a beer drinker.
