West Coast Safari and Heritage Tour

4 reviews
A value for money tour only 45 minutes up the West Coast of Cape Town, where we visit a private game reserve, see 4 of the big 5 (everything except elephant) explore the historic town of Darling, sample craft beer, artisan cheeses, award winning wines and have lunch at the Iconic “Evita se Peron”. As if that is not enough, we also visit the Kwha Ittu Khoi San cultural village for an in depth look at the life of the Bushman, then and now. We end the day off at the “Blue Peter” on Blouberg beach with breath taking views of Table bay and Table Mountain.

Our bookshop in Darling is the best in the West! Find a gift, a book, stationary, take some time to chat with the owners! You will be impressed with what you are able to find in the not so big book shop!

The entrance is decorated with a lovely children's story about reading. Although the first section of the shop is tiny, it has a further room filled with children's books. The shelves stock both latest releases as well as proper South African history books and cookbooks. It has that bookshop smell to it too!

I popped in here while my husband was next door getting the bacon, so alas, it was another "flying" visit, but I would have dearly loved to browse ... particularly in the children's section! I managed to get craft goodies for my grandchildren and some unusual wrapping paper, but due to time constraints ( the first leg of our long homeward bound journey) I didn't have the luxury of lingering.

Small bookshop with an amazing range of quality reads. Not sure where they keep it all! And if they have not got it, the ever helpful Anne and Wendy will make sure they source it for you! I have been converted from Kindle to real books again! The Book League also has a great supply of well priced stationary!

Little gem hidden in the garden of The Flying Pig. Owner/Shop assistant was so cheerful and friendly! Helped with map and suggestions for places to visit around town. Eclectic range of books - some fun truly South African offerings as well as general good reads and non-fiction offerings. Neat, clean and well laid out. Check out the Reduced bookshelf, you just may find a book you didn't know you wanted but now simply must read!
