We went to Royal guest house and it was terrible. We slept next to the dinning and kitchen room yhooo the food handlers will wake u with noise. The patio was very dirty, they had construction while we were there. We left our plug and realized it on our way home called them and they said it's gone. If u leave something by mistake u don't get it shame. Trowels were very dirty and bedding with pillows were off coulour not comfortable at all. TV not working our weekend was rainy and cold they dd not have heater and air conditioning were not working. Parking is a street parking and had to walk up and down on rainy day with our luggage the distance and the steps to and from the parking.

Kelly's Beach was near to our Guesthouse and stopped off at sunrise for a walk. Good secure parking and easy to get onto the beach.
Enjoyed a great walk at sunrise and it really is a great beach. I can imagine it is packed on a summer's day.
If in Port Alfred then go and enjoy the beach.

We loved the Kelly's beach, went there everyday of the 3days we stayed at Port Alfred. The beach is very clean and has a nice rock pools, my 2.5 year old loved playing in the beach..

Great for all types of surfing. There is also a calmer swimming area on the right of the stairs for those who do not want to be knocked down by waves. All the Blue Flag facilities including clean showers and toilets are available. Life guards on duty until after Easter.

Awed by the view of dunes stretching for miles. Great beach for surfers and sailboarders. Bonus is the cleanliness because local folks pick up the beach regularly. We felt very safe walking around here. Having Guidos restaurant nearby was a definite plus - hot coffee and a pizza after a brisk walk.

THis blue flag beach is pretty good. I love how far back the sand dunes go, and if you want to be away from the crowds, you can walk towards West Beach which stretches quite far.
