Wanted to visit the park but had no idea about entrance fees so i went online to their website to inquire about entrance fees. The prices indicated was R 50.00 per person for adults. Upon arriving at the park we found out that they charge R 120.00 per person, we found that it was totally overprices for what was on offer, not worth the visit at all.

This visit was disappointing for a few reasons:
1 it’s expensive for what you get - R100 for a pensioner
2 the reflection on the glass makes it almost impossible to see some of the snakes, depending on where the sun is
3 not sure what it is with the creepy sounds coming from the sound system, irritating at best, annoying after a while
4 the place needs a bit of TLC
5 please remove the sign on the enclosures that have nothing in them

I enjoyed looking at the various snakes, in-spite of the above. There are some impressive creatures there. It would also be helpful to know if there are any demonstrations or tours available, including any possible feeding times. Very little help from the front desk

This place was overrated, however poorly kept in terms of the grounds.Few species of snakes. The restuarant/ store selling food was closed. The benches went dusty & filthy. We viewed wht they had in under 30 min at most.No value for money.Tourist will be disappointed. Owners need to at least provide proper guides for the few species they hv.

It was ridiculious to pay R420.00 for 2 adults and 2 kids for not even 15 minutes inside
pure venom! Not much to see - al lot of cages empty. The "animal Farm" was disgusting
dirty. I could not even walk there with the horrible smell, you just want to throw up!
I realy thought my kids can spend at least an hour there with all the animals, but to my
dissapointment! The least they can do is to make it worthwile for the money you are
paying! I will never go there again or even suggest to someone to go there!

We paid R620 for my family to go to this park. Rated the biggest venom park in Southern Africa. Took 15 minutes to look at everything and still paid to hold a snake. Not even a snake show.

Very disappointed.

I would not recommend a visit. Not only is it ridiculously expensive but the place is dirty and shambolic. I witnessed some dubious behaviour from the 'keepers' (school kids/youth) when cutting grass within the croc enclosure that must be against most sensible health and safety laws. Quite a good selection of snakes but you can see those in under 10 mins. Don't waste your money.

A must see when in the area, pay to have your photo taken with a python , our niece loved it.
The selection of snakes/reptiles is amazing, the place makes a mean hamburger.

Our guests from France where eager to visit the snake park before leaving KZN, so we made this the last stop before they needed to catch the bus. On google business hours are 9am to 4 30pm on a sunday. We arrived at 3pm to a very unhelpful and unfriendly staff member. Whom basically chased us out of the park as she needed to catch the bus. Understand her frustration but would advise you update your business hours on the site as i am sure it causes loads of problems with the staff and clients.

Considering how much we were looking forward to visiting Pure Venom, this was really a waste. We paid R400 or so for 4 of us to enter, and we were literally there for under 30 minutes. The petting or feeding area that you buy feed for was terrible, smelly and unkempt. The amount of reptiles when you consider the "larger reptile park" statement is disappointing. There was virtually not even a single staff member seen walking around. This was a very disappointing place to visit. I actually wanted to ask them for our money back. But hubby would not allow it.

It was very interesting but there is no tour guide and they dont have a swipe machine and the restaurant was closed..so bring along something to keep hydrated because the walk is long.
