Peaceful Oasis
Dec 2019
Went on a retreat at Guinevere Guest Farm in Tulbagh. It was one of the most beautiful, peaceful places I have ever been in my life.

Carly lead a private retreat here at the Guest home. She is an amazing chef and host.

The land has a natural swimming hole, great hiking trails with further natural swim areas and cows and horses further away from the house. The courtyard within the home, large windows and the decks off the rooms bring beauty and make for a charming renaissance style guest home.

It would be great for a family retreat.

Sanctuary for people, animals, plants and art

Spacious, peaceful, beautiful. You feel serenity the minute you arrive. We arrived for a gyrokenisis workshop and couldn't have asked for a better venue. We picked our greens from their edible garden and greenhouse. Long walks through a haven of rare bulbs, orchids and fynbos with rescue donkeys and horses as guides ,we treated the pigs and cows to a few apples and sweet potatoes. I brought my dog along who was made to feel so welcome. The house is spacious and luxurious and has everything you could possibly need. We spent a large portion in the yoga studio which feels fused into nature. We absolutely loved it and will be back many times!

Wonderful, wonderful, beautiful luxurious venue
Oct 2016 • Friends
This is an absolutely fantastic place to spend a few days with a special group of your friends or family in search of a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The self catering venue is set amongst the beautiful mountains and terrain of the winelands of the Boland in the Western Cape. Indigenous trees including protea trees and fynbos abound on this guest farm. It was awash with orange pincushion proteas and purple wild spring flowers when we visited.

The house is built Tuscan Villa style. A large farmhouse kitchen for use by your group is available and is fully equipped. Spacious dining and lounging areas are most welcoming. A large area suitable for a braai (barbecue) is set near a cool, beautiful verandah.

The rooms are individually decorated with no rooms decorated the same. Only the best cotton linen is provided. Each room has an en suite bathroom and private balcony with excellent views across the Tulbagh valley.

A swimming pool and recreation area is situated upstairs and is a great spot for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. Boardgames and even a telescope for looking at the many stars, are available.

A must for a large group of friends or family who want to relax, breathe in fresh air and enjoy themselves.

Highly recommended!

A wonderful and interesting place
Apr 2015
We loved the peacefulness and beauty of Guinevere Guest Farm, in Tulbagh. One needs to get out of the city and this is the perfect escape spot, while still providing the luxuries that we city people are accustomed to. We were welcomed by the friendly manager; started the 2 day stay with a wine tour, after we had settled in and had a chance to admire the amazing views and our very comfortable room, with all our needs provided for. We roamed around the property, admiring the many interesting art pieces, as well as the gardens. The breakfast was something quite different to the usual breakfast fare, very imaginative and extremely tasty. When our time was up, we were sad to leave and have to get back to the real world. Thank you for your warmth and hospitality.
