Very close to Villa de Leyva, a really small town filled with lots of handcraft shops of all sorts and prices. You can walk the town in an hour and visit the shops. Me and my wife saw a couple of stray dogs so we...More

Nice plaza in one very representative town of Colombia where you can spend a very nice time at the stores looking at and buying the so many handmade things the locals make with clay and other materials. You'll get impressed!

I am reviewing this "thing to do" as encompassing exploring the whole centre of town and not just the plaza itself, since other reviews and pictures already posted seem to take that approach. Ráquira is one of our favourite places we visited in Colombia. The...More

To take certainly few pictures. The place is simple but full of colours. Locally art, you have to like but anyway you have to see. Somewhere between authenticity and a small taste of disney

Don't visit the center of plaza of this town unless you want to shop tacky, touristy stores. It's not even an attractive center as it is very gaudy. Whoever is in charge of tourism here needs to visit Tibasosa or Mongui to see beauty.

This village has certain magic when you come in. Colorful houses and lots of handcrafts. But there's only one street full of this magic. There are, also, few places to eat and grab a good coffee.

Beautiful little village just 30 minutes from Villa de Leyva. It's probably one of the top 10 villages in Colombia. It's very well kept, very colorful, very friendly and plenty of shopping. You can find everything pottery, souvenirs, woodwork, clothing, hats, but the specialty is...More

It is a very colorful village and offers all options for souvenirs and traditional handcrafts. Here you can also the traditional and authentic "ruana", musical instruments, among others.

Ráquira is a colorful little town, and a good destination for handcraft buying, particularly pottery. One can spend as much or as little time going in and out of shops around the plaza and in one of the streets nearby (shops continue for about 3...More
