Tourist Office - Natural site - Panorama - In the heart of Swiss Normandy, Roche d'Oetre is one of the most prestigious Western belvederes of France. The classified natural site is in the heart of the oldest mountain in Europe. From a height of 118 metres, Roche d'Oetre gives a stunning panoramic view over wooded Rouvre gorges. The "sentier des corniches" is "the path" to discover view point, panorama and the human profile in the rock. Desabled access - families with pushchair, picnic area with 11 tables. Rumble tracks, mountain bike trails, equestrians circuits. Tourist Office with regional information, lounge area, toilets, free wifi, touch screen table, gift shop with a large range of products included local produce, artisanal crafts, walking guides and much more ! Galerie with free exhibitions (paints, photos, sculptures...) Also on the site : Adventure course, cow pony and horse riding, pedal go kart and balance bike, orienteering course, bar restaurant.

Worth a visit even is you just have time to walk to the view point. If time permits there are several good walking trails from the visitor centre.

Picturesque scenery with plenty of walking - visited with 2 children and did one of the orienteering courses. Quite steep steps up from the bottom but we were warned and you can just walk on the top. Good 'go-ape' courses with differing heights/challenges for children...More

Went for a Christmas Fayre and fell in love with the place. Will definitely be visiting regularly. We were sad to have missed the autumn colours which must be spectacular.

There are some lovely walking tracks in this area with fabulous views over the valley. The marked walks start at only 2.5km - but be aware that given the landscape of the Suisse Normande this still means a steep climb at some point! We arrived...More

We visited here for a short walk down into the gorge. It was great for the views & the steep pathways were great down to the river & back
