Overview

This Victorian Railway Station was lovingly restored into a family home and now the owners of Wolferton Station enjoy welcoming as many visitors as possible to enjoy this historical building. Although a non commercial venture they open up the platform through generosity, passion and love for sharing the history of the station with others.

Although privately owned, the owner allows visitors on the platform and in the exhibition shed when they can. The memorabilia is really interesting and it is free - donations can be made for the local Cheshire home for the disabled.

Richard Brown has done a fine job of preserving this station and his little museum is full of amusing anecdotes to do with royalty.

This railway station has been converted and is maintained in an exceptional manner. The owner is very helpful and explained the process and the history. Attention to detail is noticeable.

Agree with above. It's a private property and the owners are very good about letting people in and around. They may have been away and couldn't supervise the site.

Great place to visit. Definitely worth a visit. It is a private residence so pot luck if it is open. We popped by a few times until it was open. Try contacting the owner if possible.
