More
Villiera is a family run winery situated in the Stellenbosch region, producing a range of still wine and recognised as one of South Africa’s leading Methode Cap Classique producers. It is a pioneering, innovative, quality wine company committed to preserving the environment. Villiera is also committed to education and upliftment of their staff and their families. Villiera is home to the Villiera Wildlife Sanctuary (220 Ha). During a conducted wildlife drive visitors will be shown sustainability at work: the Solar Powered cellar, the Owethu clinic, The Pebbles Project, the Early Childhood development centre, the Tree Planting project (over 100,000 indigenous trees planted to date – part of an on-going greening project), the vineyards, the Wildlife Sanctuary and most importantly the range of Villiera wines. Visitors can also taste our range of Domaine Grier wines from France.

In the heart of the Western Cape Wine lands you might expect a winery, with all the delights that would normally offer. Villiera however offers much more, they are passionate about the eco-balance from generating solar power for vehicles to reclaiming and improving the environment...More

The opportunity to combine wine tasting with wild life viewing seems slightly eccentric, but in this case worked remarkably well. We chose the safari first which did not disappoint, given the quantity and variety of bird life, and then the excitement of seeing substantial numbers...More
