Villiera is a family run winery situated in the Stellenbosch region, producing a range of still wine and recognised as one of South Africa’s leading Methode Cap Classique producers. It is a pioneering, innovative, quality wine company committed to preserving the environment. Villiera is also committed to education and upliftment of their staff and their families. Villiera is home to the Villiera Wildlife Sanctuary (220 Ha). During a conducted wildlife drive visitors will be shown sustainability at work: the Solar Powered cellar, the Owethu clinic, The Pebbles Project, the Early Childhood development centre, the Tree Planting project (over 100,000 indigenous trees planted to date – part of an on-going greening project), the vineyards, the Wildlife Sanctuary and most importantly the range of Villiera wines. Visitors can also taste our range of Domaine Grier wines from France.

We did the normal wine tasting earlier this year, as the "bubbly and nougat tasting" has to be booked in advance. Couldn't understand this, as it doesn't take much effort to prepare some nougat for presentation on a board, surely? The youngster who did our...More

We enjoyed the wine tasting, but the animals were the highlight of our visit. The staff are, as expected, knowledgeable about the wines on offer, but there is nothing to differentiate if from other such establishments in the area. The big attraction for us was...More

The whole experience was a wonder.Started off with the gentle extended tour around the protected game reserve.Despite the ghastly drought there were many different species including zebra, springbok, giraffes, kudo etc all oblivious of the 'tourists on trail'. Then back for a comprehensive tutored tasting under the dappled...More
