Villiera is a family run winery situated in the Stellenbosch region, producing a range of still wine and recognised as one of South Africa’s leading Methode Cap Classique producers. It is a pioneering, innovative, quality wine company committed to preserving the environment. Villiera is also committed to education and upliftment of their staff and their families. Villiera is home to the Villiera Wildlife Sanctuary (220 Ha). During a conducted wildlife drive visitors will be shown sustainability at work: the Solar Powered cellar, the Owethu clinic, The Pebbles Project, the Early Childhood development centre, the Tree Planting project (over 100,000 indigenous trees planted to date – part of an on-going greening project), the vineyards, the Wildlife Sanctuary and most importantly the range of Villiera wines. Visitors can also taste our range of Domaine Grier wines from France.

This was the first stop in a five-winery tour, and how better to start your day than with a few glasses of champagne. There was also some white and red to try, but the champagne was the best. Because we had four more to go...More
