Very nice encounter with reindeer, a real treat. The walk up to them was ok and we learnt about the history of their reintroduction and their biology from knowledgeable herders. Feeding them and their muzzle softly touching my hand was lovely. They don’t bite! Well worth the visit.…

Amazing experience! Nice walk up to the paddock to see the Reindeer was quite steep in places but I would say its quite accessible for most people. The guide can't remember her name was lovely extremely friendly and had loads of knowledge of the Reindeer. Even though the rain and wind was driving at us she took time explaining everything and teaching us about the Reindeer! The feeding of the Reindeer and just being in the paddock with them is amazing! Worthwhile for any animal lover! I went on my birthday so was extra special for me and there was a little calf born a just before we got there which made my day!! The lady who serves us in the shop when we collected tickets and bought a souvenir was also lovely again very friendly and welcoming! Gave us the information on our sponsored Reindeer as he was in the paddock so that was really good!! Sponsoring a Reindeer is also very worthwhile in my eyes too! The package (certificate etc) you receive is lovely! Thank you all for a lovely day!…

Such a wonderful, unique experience! If you want to see the reindeer you should definitely book the hill trip (be aware though it does require a moderately strenuous walk up a mountain so wouldn't be good for young children or those with reduced mobility). The reindeer are beautiful and friendly, and I feel the cost is fair because it's going to a great cause. If you are unable to do the walk then there is the option to see the paddocks, but the experience will be much more limited and only takes ~15mins to walk around. Our guide was informative and it was clear she had so much passion for her job! Although this is a hands-off tour (meaning you can't pet the reindeer) my favourite part was definitely being able to hand-feed the reindeer with the herder.…

I love finding out about unique experiences in the places we visit, and hiking to the reindeer in Cairngorms National Park ranks near the top! Our guides were knowledgeable and willing to answer all of our questions. After a short but beautiful hike, we found ourselves surrounded by curious, well behaved reindeer! The females had just started giving birth and we were able to see two calves close by until their protective mothers gently guided them away from the group. The guides had hauled up sacks of grain, and we were able to hold out cupped hands of grain to feed the reindeer. Very cool! I highly recommend a visit to this gorgeous national park and its special herd of reindeer!…
