We visited the Plaza of Zipaquira after our walk thru the salt mine Cathedral. The Town buildings and the Town Church combine different styles of architecture. Lots of vehicle congestion and hardley any parking.

The independiente square, has many restaurants and coffee shops. The flags are standing in rememberance of so much history but still the atmosphere is busier than the Plaza de los Comuneros. Enjoy!

On your walk through the city to the Salt Cathedral, you pass by the plaza de la independencia. It's just average looking and a little run down.
