Just got back from a 3 week trip in Vietnam. We had used different guides throughout the trip, but I have to say that Vu at Amman tours was definitely our best one!    Our day with him ran in a very organized and professional manner. Vu was knowledgeable, professional, personable, he patiently  answered all of our questions, and he spoke perfect english. Seemed like a genuinely good guy.  Our outing with him to the DMZ couldn't have been better.

When researching the sites to see around the DMZ, one name kept popping up and that is Vu from Annam Tours. I emailed Vu listing the places that we wished to see in and around the DMZ for an upcoming trip and Vu quickly came back with a specialized itinerary for the day. Fast forward to the trip and I cannot praise Vu enough for the tour that he laid on for us. It was exceptional. First of all taking us around the the lesser-known sites of Quang Tri province (via a lovely pit stop for some tea with his lovely family) and then on to the DMZ, Con Thien, Rock Pile and eventually the colossal site that is Khe Sanh. His knowledge of each location combined with expert understanding of the history made us feel we were in the best hands for this tour. Super personable and accommodating, I couldn't recommend enough. Next time we will plan more time with Vu as there are plenty more sites around the area that specialises in... Hue being just one. Thank you Vu!

We did a private day tour of the DMZ including Quảng Trị Citadel & Memorial, Freedom bridge over Ben Hai river (ex border between north and south Vietnam) and Vinh Moq tunnels. Mr. Vu is highly knowledgeable about the Vietnam war, speaks very good English, and answered patiently to our many questions, as we were not so expert on the conflict. He drove us smoothly around in his comfy Ford SUV, and explained a lot of things about vietnamese culture & history. Highly recommended if you’re into history!!!

I did a lot of research on where my brother served in Vietnam, so I knew the places I wanted to visit. I began corresponding with Vu by email and we worked out a customized itinerary. Vu basically took care of us for four days three of which were spent driving. Everything went like clockwork, from the time he picked us up at Chu Lai airport, to dropping us off at the Hue airport four days later. Vu was very knowledgeable about the two major operations my brother participated in, and had photos and maps on his iPad to share. I can’t recommend him enough if you want a good experience exploring Vietnam.

Anything l say about taking this tour with Annam Tour will be less than the excitement l have had. And there is Mr. Vu, the guide, he is not just a guide, he will make you travel through the Vietnam history. He is always ready to explain you the facts and the sites where they happened.

This is a fantastic tour with an expert guide which is well worth the price.

Guide utilized an iPad to display what areas you are looking at looked like during the war, this provides an unprecedented perspective.

We wanted to learn more about the American War whilst in Vietnam and Vu was a fantastic guide and driver for us. The drive was quite long but this served as a very useful oral introduction to the history of Vietnam that lead up to the war. We visited the Vin Moc tunnels, Freedom bridge and museum, had lunch at a Pho roadside cafe near Alpha 2 on the McNamara Line, then went into Quang Tri to the citadel to see the museum and mausoleum there. A huge thank you to Vu for being a knowledgeable and patient guide, keeping our 13 year old daughter in mind during the trip, and generally looking after us so well. I have a much better sense of not only Vietnamese history but also the life of a friendly, modern Vietnamese guide.

We had an incredible tour with Vu who was very knowledgeable and tailored the day to our requirements. We have two young boys (ages 11 & 9) who although were not quite as interested as we were, still had a good day - especially the Vinh Moc tunnels. The photos on the iPad and explanations using original maps were also helpful to understand what happened during the American war. We were picked up directly from the overnight train from Hanoi and delivered to our hotel at the end of the day. A fantastic day all round but be prepared for some time in the SUV due to the distances between sites.
