This “street” - part of the second story above the Main Street below, was where donkeys were walked between the chalk quarries and town. Quirky.

Colour changes along the Via as the sun moves. So pretty - don't miss. Good start to the longer walk up to the clock tower.

It's just as well we had read about this as it would be easy to walk by without seeing it. The outside semicircular windows perhaps get one's attention but come inside on the old road and feel the history.

Just a little walk and you can see where the donkeys walked. There are steps up and down though so not particularly accessible.

When in Brisighella visit this lovely small unique street. It is entered easily from the road below, and free of charge. Charming little street.

This beautiful medieval village is a real Italian gem, steeped in history with it's three towers dominating the village. Lots of good restaurants, friendly people and a superb gelateria.

A very interesting town, best travelled to from Faenza, the alternative route over the mountains takes forever and is not good for nevous drivers. Plenty of steps to climb but the reward is wonderful view from the towers that overlook the town. Nice places to...More
