In this area you will become a witness of a great eruption of Gamalama Mountain. Nice view around the park that also located by the sea so you can enjoy also a great mixture of panorama on this site.

Interesting to see what the volcanic lava can do. All you can see is just solidified lava but is nice. Near the sea. Small fee is charged at the entrance.

Impressed by these worn fingers of lava sticking up in the air. Several kilometers from the airport heading north on Ternate island. Parking for cars available. No entrance fee. Very little litter. Places for picnicking are provided but no water available.

This place is a must visit place in Ternate. It's amazing, there are a lot of scorched rock as the results of the Mount Gamalama eruption several hundreds years ago. I bet, there is only a few places like this on earth.

It's a volcanic black stones area, not too far from the city, right on the main street. It's good to walk around the black stones and take photos around them. If you want to know 'bout its history, find a local guide around.

Appreciate to local people who tried to manage this location to become a touristic place. It is interesting to walk between black stones that cam from volcano eruption long time ago.
