All I can say is wow. There are two paths to choose from. One is higher up and gives a more broader view of the fall, one is lower and allows you to get up closer to it. We went down and Loved it! The...More

This is a spectacular site! It is really powerful and the spray travels through the air for quite a distance. It is worth walking to the end of both the top and bottom paths.

This is yet another amazing natural wonder in Iceland. The falls are unadulterated and free of fencing and other barriers, which preserves its beauty, but makes the site dangerous for children.

This is a top tourist attraction but to be honest there are nicer places to visit. The black flies were terrible here and it was very busy. Well decked paths etc so great for walking around. Beautiful waterfall but not my favourite one.

Wow, this waterfall was fantastic. Unfortunately we did not have any sun when visiting this attraction. If we had sun, I am sure we would have seen rainbows. This attraction is a beautiful waterfall!

Gorgeous multilevel waterfall that you can walk right up to. We went during prime hours and although it was busy it wasn't overly crowded. Read a review on Tripadvisor that advised parking in the lower lot which doesn't have a sign but is the first...More

If your in the south region of Iceland you should definitely check out this waterfall. The view is amazing and even unreal! If your in this area you can also check out the nearby Geysir. Enjoy!

This incredible, multi-tiered waterfall is a must visit. We were there at 8 am, having stayed the prior night at the nearly Hotel Gullfoss. Except for maybe 10 others, we had the place to ourselves. The mist sprayed up from the bottom of the lowest...More

We were on the Golden Circle EXPRESS tour which gave us 45 minutes there in very extreme weather. If the weather had been clear, we'd have wanted longer (not least to walk down the route that was closed on the day we were... More
