Generally considered to be the best example of an Iceland waterfall, it was not as impressive as others I have seen. Maybe I have become jaded -- never have I seen so many majestic waterfalls. Just riding around Golden Circle, I see hundreds of minor...More

This is the best waterfall in Iceland and is simply stunning. There are a number of viewing points and you really need an hour to see the place and views properly. If you are looking at a coach trip 15 minutes is no where near...More

Gullfoss is a beautiful waterfall; but for the best views, you're going to have to do a fair amount of walking. The path leading to the upper viewing area is a pretty good trek from the parking area. Also, to get to the lower viewing...More

What a wonderful experience to stand in glorious sunshine and see the goldfoss in all its splendor with the rainbow as a bonus. It was a cold experience but both the kids and us adults agreed that it was really worth the long drive.

Visited Gulfoss falls as part of the recommended Golden Circle tour, and I can see why it is one of the most visited spots in Iceland. Absolutely gorgeous! I particularly liked how many different paths there were that allowed you to see the falls from...More

If you haven't seen many waterfalls in your lifetime, you will love this, but honestly there were so many others even in Iceland that I liked better. Worth a look if you are already in the Golden Circle.

The beauty of these waterfalls is difficult to describe. My second favorite falls in the world, after Iguazu Falls in South America. Walking up to them, it's impossible to take in all their beauty, as the 90 degree turn they make in such a short...More

Very impressive falls. You can see and hear the power of the falls as you walk by. Definitely a must do place. Lots of people, so be prepared. There are multiple viewing areas, which is convenient. If the sun is out you'll see the rainbow...More

This location reminds me of Niagara Falls. However you can get slightly closer here. It is a crowded location. It was really nice to see. They had a gift shop as well as a restaurant/cafe there as well. Easy to find parking.

This waterfall is on the Golden Circle and one of the must-see waterfalls in Iceland. It kinda reminds me of Niagara but gentler. You will also get wet visiting this waterfall depending on the direction of the wind so be prepared to bring a waterproof...More
