We are pretty fit and enjoyed a good brisk walk round the reservoirs but it's also great for young and old and pushchairs too. There are a couple of different parking options and it's a really nice circular walk.

When in Victorian times Leeds Corporation needed water they flooded the Washburn Valley. BUT what a result-3 lovely reservoirs which over the years have enhanced the environment and make this spot a beautiful and restful place.

This is a super walk, not too far, good paths. Perhaps an hour to walk round. Plenty of places to sit and watch the world go by.

Unspoilt, quiet countryside with lovely walks and well maintained facilities. The public toilets were very clean. Good access for wheelchair users. There was hardly any water in the reservoir which was unexpected, but the suroundings were beautiful in autumn colours.

I don’t remember there being a barrier over the car park. We were in a 1.98m van when visiting and we usually look for the height, but don’t remember having to look.

I’ve not yet seen a reservoir that you were able to swim in.
