Aside from the very impressive collection of fabrics and the knowledgeable staff, the rest of the artefacts on show are in limited supply and don't really show the full history of John Lewis. However it's free to get in

A very interesting visit. An attractive building with a fantastic collection of over 5,000 textiles, together with many items of interest from the John Lewis/Waitrose history. Only open to the public on Saturdays. A very helpful lady running the place with a charming young assistant.
