I highly recommend this place, it is a hidden gem in the region, I am so grateful we found it! 😊😊
We had such a lovely time at Incendo distillery! The place is really quiet, perfect for a romantic date 🥰 they also have a kid area so kiddos feel welcome. And that day they also welcomed two big groups so that’s possible too! Though they don’t take bookings so first come first served 😌
The owners are so sweet, they take time to explain everything (and they are very knowledgeable, on all alcohol process and production, even outside their business field), they give you options and they are accommodating. We were amazed at how much work the owners do by themselves, as this is a family-run micro business.
You can either sit outside or indoors (it was cloudy that day so we sat inside and it was really nice too). We chose the distillery tour with gin tasting and chocolate pairing 🍸 the gins are high quality, handmade and during the tour we could see all the different components involved in their making. Thank you for this amazing experience!!

Francois and his team really have something special going on there at Incendo. We chose a very cool gin and rum tasting with chocolate and a distillery tour which was informative. Francois was an amazing host. I would definitely go back and I personally hope one day an eatery of some kind is linked to them because enjoying their gin with food in the beautiful setup they have would be so good. It’s really a place worth spending your time and money at.

What an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Jonathan and he explained the Gin experience to us and what we could expect from the different tastings. We chose the tasting and distillery tour. Francios came over and ran through how he started the distillery and what we can expect from the Gins. Francois and Vonmarie have such a passion for there business. The tour of the distillery was great.
It is here that you see that this is just not a business, it’s a passion and a love for Francois. Thank you for an amazing experience, good luck and we hope you have nothing but great success moving forward.

A must visit. The owners are welcoming and very accommodating, ordered gin and rum to be shipped home in Durban, no problem and it arrived on the Tuesday after ordering on the Saturday. The product is very good and we had a great time. We'll done.

Very informative session on gin pairing and rum chocolate pairing. Went with two of my friends and enjoyed it. The owners are well informed and friendly enjoyed the cocktails as well.

Incendo Distillery is a wonderful space close to Johannesburg but far enough away to be considered the country. It is green and open located in Hartebeespoort and makes a nice break away from the city. they are open for gin tastings on Saturdays. We tried the gin and chocolate tasting which was superb. Their gins are delicately flavoured and very smooth. You can tell a lot of thought was put into the pairings which are stunningly presented and each chocolate flavour matches each gin very well. I had to leave with a bottle of their lavender gin, which was so floral and unique. The service was excellent! Francois and his wife were very knowledgeable and friendly and Jonathan was a wonderful server. Note there is a short dirt road leading to the distillery and while I used Waze so I knew where to turn there is not signage visible from the main road. You may think you're lost but Incendo is most certainly a great find! I will most definitely be back. In fact with their wonderfully cool and inviting space they may not be able to get rid of me.

It cost us R120,00 each for gin tasting and pairing, we tasted three gins and rum.
