This church is also really nice and quiet. It has beautiful ornaments and a very special atmosphere. Enjoy but keep in mind that it is a holy place

The cathedral is nice to see but it is a major disappointment to drive hundreds of kilometres and find all the churches closed after noon. Considering that it is still September, these tourist place should remain open in the afternoon if they want visitors.

The Cathedral stands just off the main square close to the famed stairway. It is a marvellous example of Sicilian baroque. The dome is magnificent with blue Caltagirone tiles.
