Fiskardo waterfront is as pretty as people say. Lots of shops but more on the expensive end. The romoan cemetry about 200m past the waterfront is worth a visit. We had a car and drove the 1.5km to foki beach. Compared to others weve seen this was rather disappointing. Stones rather than sand or pebbles and water more murky and green tinged than med blue. There are a number of short walks around the fiskardo area which is great for those who like to experience nature. The drive to fiskardo has very pretty and lush countryside. Definitely a must see.

Beautiful beach with great snorkelling. Flat rocks to sunbathe on. Like most beaches on Kefalonia it is stony and you need shoes. Good path down from the car park but sensible shoes or sandal are needed as it can be rough and slippery in parts. The decent takes about 8 mins. Brings you out on to a secluded little beach with turquoise waters.

A 10- 15 min walk from the car park or 30 mins from Emblissi beach. Kimilia is beautiful and if you come via the woods fromEmblissi you can stop off at Kalamachi on the way.
Water is usually beautifully turquoise can be a little cloudy if it’s windy.
Shade around the rocks a bonus ( at certain times of day).
Now these sea snakes…… I am wondering if they are someone’s translation of small jelly fish. Water was a little cloudy yesterday and I was stung so my theory is no sea serpents just the occasional jelly fish to be alert for.
It’s a totally beautiful beach and the previous day would have had 5 stars plus but fir that little jelly fish!
How long to stay.? People were dropping in for a quick swim as part of a hike, Others were there all day it’s a lovely place to swim, sit and look.

Excellent. A bit of a trek but clear waters and shingle beach. Swim off the rocks option. Quite popular.

Lovely little beach. Plenty of parking and walk down through shaded trees is ok and path in good condition. Very clear water and some good rocks to jump from. Teen boys love doing that so they were happy.

Smallish quiet beach reached by a 300m walk through the woods.. not much share, but a beautiful spot.

After visiting Cephalonia 7 times since 2010, this was our first visit to Kimilia beach. I was a bit sceptical as some reviews I have read tells about snakes in the woods and the water. However this was denyed by a local who knows the beach well saying these rumours have been planted to avoid people going there and keep it´s serene beauty.
It was a five minutes walk through the forest and the beach was over our expectations. There were less than 10 people at the beach, the beach was a mix of flat stones and sand so it was easy to access the water, the water was clear blue and the snorkelling conditions was very good.

Really beautiful spot.Great for swimming and it has never been crowded in the times we have gone.
A bit of a walk but not far to be rewarded by the scenery.
Watch out for the herds of goats,!!
