A very hippy-eque visit, but well worth a trip! Tree huggers unite! (I actually thoroughly enjoyed hugging the trees) The history and story's told while at this place are quite magical and special, and add to the experience. Lovely to see tradition being kept alive....More

A wonderful project that informs us travellers, keeps the traditions alive and most importantly works towards helping local people benefit from the tourist trade in Diani Beach. Which can be difficult as tourists rarely leave their hotel complexes. Please get out and visit and support...More

It is a very interesting place to spend a couple of hours and learn about the culture and ancestory of the local people of the area. What different elements of the forest mean to the people and how they interact.

is a normal forest " Caya " as the local are calling, not worthed to be visited as we have lots of " Caya " around Diani, and the cost is very high

A great place to spend a pleasant few hours. The manager is extremely well informed about the origins and ancestory of the forest. Very interesting visit.

The forest walk was interesting and worthwhile. The local guide however was someone to avoid. His humor bordered on lewd and he tended to direct it too much at the females in the group - uncool at best.

Kaya kinonda is a day excursion not a hotel. however - there are several facilities within galu kinondo. you could get a great bargain considering diani is not exactly very busy right now.
