The walk from Gialova up to this castle and then down to the beach is long and you need to be wearing good walking shoes. Take drinks and food and prepare for a 2-3 hour walk. Tough walk but well worth it

We walked up through the dunes of Voidokilia Beach, past Nestor’s cave and than up to the castle. The walk is very pretty with spring flowers and there are some stunning views. The climb is a bit tricky but nothing a reasonably fit person couldn’t...More

One of the best hikes I've ever done! Start from voidokilia beach, go to the cave and then up the castle. Take the path down and around the mountain and will get you back to the beach. Stunning view!! Don't miss that!

My husband and I walked to the old castle via the beautiful Golden Beach. The walk takes about 45 mins and is steep and slippery in parts so wear good shoes. The castle is nothing but old ruins but the view makes it worthwhile. Visit...More

We walked up to the ruins from the Golden Beach side. The sign at the beach said it was a 45-minute walk, which is about right. It was a fairly gradual slope, but as we neared the top it was quite rocky and potentially risky...More
