Our kids were sailing all weekend on the Loch, so us parents enjoyed 2 lovely walks around the Loch, enjoyed the information boards. Would recommend it.

The castle dates back to the 12 century and was built by Edward 1st as part of his plan to keep control of Scotland. It is now a ruin and a Historic Scotland site. There is a small free car park. The castle exchanged hands...More

You arrive at this Castle when completing the Loch walk or you can arrive by Car.Not a lot to see however safety work was being carried out during our Visit.Would highly recommend the Castle Loch Walk to see various birds and excellent wooden Sculptures.
