Really interesting little museum. Free spontaneous tour about how the olives are grown, harvested and pressed, with a small museum of old implements. Lots of sampling of all kinds of things we’d never come across. No pressure to buy. Cafe outside. Lovely time.

We rented a car and drove around the island today expecting the Olive Press Museum to be a highlight.. but it was a little anti-climatic. It's ok. But we could have skipped it and spent more time visiting remote beaches today on Naxos.

Lovely small museum with an old olive millstone and olive oil press. One of the staff gives a short talk on how olives are harvested and the pressing process. It is fascinating to find out how this kitchen staple is made. The cafe is here...More

We rented a car to drive to Eggares and it was completely worth it. The drive from Naxos is breath taking, the museum provides a short and sweet “how to” of olive oil making, and the staff were amazing. We could have stayed and sampled...More

Nice little room displaying the various tools used to make olive oil. The local guide explained the process and we were then invited to buy the local olive products and there are plenty of them. We also got to taste olive oil cake.

A friendly and charismatic owner. The place is closed in the summer, but it’s a nice spot to visit when it is open. There is a room with some history about the olive oil business and attached is a store that sells all kinds of...More

I am not sure. We rented a car for 50 USD a day from Agia Anna. We stayed at Step by Step Studios, which I highly recommend.

We rented an ATV (or quad bike). It's really the best way to get around. A scooter is also an option. During our day exploring the island we didn't see a single bus!
