Anyone who owns a cheese shop should visit the Cheeseworks in Cheltenham, the best cheese shop I have visited and it is worth a trip for any cheese lover. Sadly this cheese shop isn't. The selection of cheeses was a bit uninspiring for a specialist...More

I am sorry you were disappointed with the range of cheese on offer in our little shop. Amongst the 80 cheeses we have in our counter at the minute there are around 20-30 locally produced cheeses which won't be found in an supermarket, many other...More

It has been a tradional thing to buy cheese here on a day out in Derbyshire. But we find the prices are now exorbitant when compared with your friendly supermarket and the quality not much different. A discount offered in the local magazine was pointed...More

No tasters, everything pre packed. Not particularly friendly and expensive uninspiring cheeses. Also the same local beers sold were far cheaper at the village store. As cheese fanatics we were very disappointed. If you want good cheese and service go to ‘love cheese’ in York

Thank you for taking the time to send us a nice review. As you can imagine it isn't always easy surviving in a rural location so it is lovely when we get nice feedback from our customers and it is great that so many people...More

I have visited often and am never disappointed. Staff are always ready to share their knowledge of the cheeses they stock and there is always something new to try. Also a good range of beers, cheese biscuits and sweet biscuits etc if looking for gifts.

I used to visit Hartington when the cheese factory was in full throttle. That explains the raison d’etre for the cheese shop. Sadly, the factory has been demolished, but - the cheese lives on. We were a large family group holidaying locally, and when my...More

Fantastic array of cheeses including some made in Hartington, the dales & further afield. Very friendly staff to help you choose, but knowing when to stop is your own responsibility!

This shop is located overlooking the village duck pond. Clean and smart shop with very good range of cheese, helpful staff. This is a speciality shop which is an important part of this very attractive village. Well worth visiting.
