A great place

I visited yesterday. A wonderful tribute to the Airmen and Airwomen who served in the RAF at Biggin Hill Airfield. Pay a close look to the stained glass windows.

Lovely chapel with beautiful stained glass. We were offered a brochure to use or keep! Nice to see the Catholic statues from the RC chapel are incorporated.

Respect to The Few
Jan 2020 • Couples
Anyone travelling near Biggin Hill should pop in and pay their respects to all the brave pilots who saved our country in 1940. Such a moving experience. You will be glad you came. Bless them all!!

RAF Chapel visit

Quiet, but beautiful building. Low key, but that is what it is meant to be. Very pleasant staff in the coffee shop.

Grade 2 listed Chapel
Jun 2019 • Couples
The pictures on the memorial site of the museum show how lovely the the Chapel was before they cut down the Flowering cherry the yew trees and bushes planted by relatives .you may once have got married here not anymore no license. They shut it for a year while building. This Chapel is a Grade 2 listed building if you or I were to try and build a brick building next door to this Chapel you would be refused.See Protect RAF Chapel Biggin Hill and see the many 27 thousand who were disgusted by the spoiling of a sacred place Not something the Lbb should be proud of.

A beautiful Chapel with stunning stained windows. This is a working Chapel and there is a reading everyday.
As you explore it you come across more and more interesting exhibits and facts. This is well worth a visit

New Museum

Recently visited with friends, who share an interest in WW2 history. Found the stories relating to different people who had served at the airfield during the war very interesting and informative. It should be remembered however that none of these people would have been there or been revered for their achievement, if it were not for the aircraft they flew! Unfortunately little was included about the fact it was a fighter station, or about the Spitfires & Hurricanes that necessitated the existence of the airfield, pilots and the many support staff.
With no concessions for senior citizens and the small amount of space and content the entrance charge was also too high.
