A Quick stop-off to purchase the Basset Beers, unfortunately there was a power failure and we were unable to pay for the beers. However, for those that want to stop for a tasting, why not support these local people.

With nothing better to do on a horrible rainy day on the KZN South Coast, myself , my Daughter and her Boyfriend stumbled upon Basset Breweries. And what a find it was. I think the weather made it even more special as the Brewery is in a Shed with a tin roof and the sound of the rain pelting down... More

On a rainy and wet afternoon we decided to try Basset Breweries and what a Devine afternoon it ended up being. All the flavors are explained carefully by the very friendly Guy behind the pumps, as we were not all Beer drinkers. We decided on the 2 tasting boards where we got to choose 7 of the flavors available and... More

Andy started building his brewery when we moved into Umdoni Retirement Village. What more could a craft beer lover ask for in his retirement? We held my 70th birthday party at the brewery. What a great evening! And the beer is the best. Thanks Andy.

Very friendly brewers and a very authentic beer tasting experience. Extremely down to Earth people and the beer taste great, with everything from a fantastic light Ale to an very unique Winter spiced beer.

Great beer but long wait to get served and very hot under the tin roof. No info about the brewery on display or about the homemade blends of beer. But got to hit a few golf balls from a bucket next door, will go again to get some beers

Many thanks for the review.....I am glad to hear that you got to taste the beers and hit a few balls. Please bear with us as we are still ironing out the kinks (the tasting room has only been open 2 weeks now) and most of our team were away at the SA on Tap festival in Pretoria last weekend....
