The main attraction of Kolhapur. Situated in a crowded central location of Kolhapur. The shrine is made of Black rock stone and the main deity too is made of the same. It was a soothing site to see the deity adorned in all her finery...More

visited Kolhapur for Mahalaxmi darshan only. very old temple... u can tell from the structure itself... made from black rocks... still strong and beautiful. even the idol is made from black stone and looks very beautiful.. internal stumbhas are also beautifully carved.

clean temple but only brief darshan due to a pushy crowd. basic amenities for pilgrims were available.

Very cool and clam environment though its situated within crowd of the city. With the Blessing of Mata Laxmi ,i always get energized. I liked the discipline maintained by temple management.

very neat & tidy temple. Parking is a problem so take an Auto to reach the temple. On a week day you can have a quick darshan, but on Fridays it might take a bit longer. If you are in a hurry you can also...More

Nice and well maintained Temple and better to visit it off season and during the early hours for a good darshan. Parking could be a problem and the parking arrangement in some circle called bindu circle or something like that

I am sorry I can't tell you about timing on Dashra day..I think Temple is always open for public at about 6 am .
